Suspected Suicide Bomber arrest at Lagos airport

There was panic Monday at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos, following the arrest of a physically challenged man suspected to be Boko Haram suicide bomber at CENTREX, an annex office of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency(NAMA) by private security men.
An eye witness, who spoke to reporters , said that the suspected bomber was about to gain entrance to the annex when he was accosted and subsequently arrested by private security guards of the agency.
He added that the suspicious movement of the suspect drew the attention of the security guards.
He said the physically challenged man was found with an item suspected to be Improvised Explosive Device(IED) strapped around his waist and that immediately he was arrested, the police dispatched  men from the Anti Bomb  Squad (ABS) of the command to the scene.
The suspect, he said was handed over to the Police and whisked  to the Airport Police Command Headquarter at Beesam, where he is presently undergoing interrogation.
However, a police source who spoke to The Guardian on the condition of anonymity though confirmed that the suspected Boko Haram suspect is in the interrogation room but denied that the substance he was carrying was a bomb.
The source added that the suspect may not be a bomber, adding that the suspect is not coherent going by the little interrogation carried out on him.
He said that as a result of that the police brought in some people who understand Hausa language to help in conducting the interrogation.
The General Manager of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA),Mr Supo Atobatele, confirmed the arrest.
Meanwhile, there was panic at NAMA and Lagos airport as the news of the arrest of the suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber   spread like wild fire.

EBOLA: Salt Water Kills Three In Bauchi State
