Ogun State Government Orders Attack On Protesting Students Security-Men and Students

 Pandemonium broke out in the course of the protest being conducted by students across all the tertiary institutions in Ogun State due to what they described as the state government epidemic educational policies.

 The students in their thousands besieged the state capital yesterday armed with placards demanding for the immediate implementation of the announced deduction in their school fees and a signed undertaken by the government to begin proper funding of the educational sector.

The protest led by the Student Union leaders of various institutions was generally peaceful until some students believed to be members of cult groups in Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and sponsored by the state government attacked other students resulting into a free for all.

On day two of the protest, the students haven slept in Abeokuta were attacked by men of the Nigeria Police on their way to the Governor's office. The students were tear gassed, while two of them received gun shot wounds and ten arrested.

EBOLA: Salt Water Kills Three In Bauchi State

At least three people have been reported to have died, while a pregnant woman also landed in hospital, as a result of excessive intake of salt for the prevention of Ebola Virus in Bauchi State.   According to Vanguard report, an old man in Misau local council and three other adults in Bigi , Gudum Sayawa, and Bayara village, suburbs in Bauchi, northern Nigeria, were the victims of the salt intake exercise An unnamed source was quoted to have said that one of the deceased, Mr. Paul Bigi, 74, drank more than two cups of salted water and also rub some on his body after bathing with the salt water as advised by his children. “Less than one hour after he took the salt water, Baba started deficating non-stop and he died in the morning around 7am,” the source said.
