Keshi’s contract saga still ‘unresolved’

Stephen Keshi has admitted he is not clear about his future with Nigeria and as such he may not be in charge of the Super Eagles for next month’s 2015 African Nations Cup qualifiers.
Nigeria hosts Congo on September 6 and travels to South Africa four days later to meet Bafana as places at Morocco 2015 gather momentum.
A 23-man squad has been announced for the qualifiers and the Nigeria Football Fderation president, Aminu Maigari, said the call-ups were made by Keshi and wants the coach’s contract negotiations to be concluded in good time.
But Keshi told africanFootball.com his situation is far from resolved.
Keshi and the NFF entered into contract talks last week, but talks have been stalled due to the crisis that has rocked the federation.
“I don’t know when I would be returning to Nigeria because things don’t seem to be clear yet,” he maintained.
“But right now as I speak to you I am enjoying the comfort of my home and just waiting on my managers to alert me on the next line of action.”
He further insisted a new and improved contract has to be in place before he could return to his post.
“I cannot just resume duty when talks have not been concluded,” said Keshi, whose first contract ended at the World Cup in Brazil.
“The federation is offering me exactly what they offered two years ago. I don’t think that is wise or a contract renewal.”

Ebola Virus On Point :Anglican Primate suspends handshake during Communion

The Primate of the Church Of Nigeria Anglican Communion the Most Revd Nicholas Okoh on Sunday suspended shaking of hands during communion. He also said the church would from September roll out measures to its faithful as pre-conditional measures to ward off the rampaging Ebola virus. According to a statement, the Primate said the church , before September, would start to “implement some measures in the conduct of its Holy Communion service.” The statement said: “He therefore announced the suspension of the shaking of hands during exchange of the peace, and also the age – long mouth method of administering communion. “Primate Okoh while delivering a sermon at the Cathedral Church of The Advent Life Camp Abuja said communicants would from yesterday dip bread in the wine and into their mouths. This is aimed at preventing the spread of the disease- if it exists- through physical contact. “Communicants adhered strictly to this instruction while receiving the communion in th...

Let's help save the life of Nigerian doctor who got infected by Sawyer

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh (pictured above) is a Senior Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist at First Consultant Hospital in Lagos where late Liberian Patrick Sawyer was diagnosed with the deadly Ebola disease. She was one of those who diagnosed and was treating Sawyer at First Consultant before he died. Unfortunately she was infected by Sawyer. Her colleagues put her pic and case out at a press conference on Thursday, appealing to the U.S Govt to urgently send whatever treatment they have for the Ebola virus to Nige ria to save her life and that of other Nigerians at risk of the disease.  Her colleague Mr Okubadejo said on Thursday; “She treated Sawyer because she was patriotic only for her to be infected with the virus. I am appealing to the U.S. government to send whatever medication they have to Nigeria fast to save Adadevoh. She does not deserve to die. So, this is the reason for this appeal,” I heard Dr. Adadevoh was one of those who refused to let Sawyer lea...
