PDP Governorship candidate Jimi Agbaje Attacked in Mushin

The Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant Jimi Agbaje came under attack yesterday during his your of local councils. While he escaped unhurt, one of his supporters was shot and had to be hospitalized.
It was gathered that one of Agbaje’s supporters was shot and was rushed to a hospital after losing so much blood. The rally was said to have been held at Olomowewe Square in Mushin as part of efforts to sensitise PDP members of his aspiration to govern Lagos using the party’s platform.
The Chairman of PDP in the council, Tunde Fabiyi, who confirmed the incident, said the bullet that hit Agbaje’s supporter was from the rifle of one of the policemen attached to the politician who wanted to scare the thugs away from his boss.
“Yes, it was true a PDP supporter was shot, but it is not as it is being painted by the social media. What really happened was that Agbaje was mobbed by some young boys after the rally, and in a bid to disperse the crowd, a shot was fired, which incidentally hit one of those who came with Agbaje,” he said.

Pastor arraigned over alleged rape, fraud

A 23-year-old professed Celestial Church prophet, Adewale Adeleke, on Tuesday appeared before a Yaba Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, over alleged fraud and rape. Adeleke, who resides at No. 2 Ajibola Street, Agbado Ijaiye, Lagos, was arraigned on a four-count charge of stealing, obtaining by false pretext, impersonation and rape. Prosecutor Chris Takim told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 26 at 6pm at the premises of Original Inn Hotel, Ebute Meta. Takim said the accused approached his victim claiming to be spiritually informed about her problems and had solutions to them through a scheduled prayer session.
