According to an eyewitness account, the two vehicles had a head on collision about 11a.m., resulting in the death of the 10, while several others suffered injuries.
Witnesses attributed the accident to excessive speeding and dangerous driving.
Meanwhile, officials of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Akwanga unit command were seen conveying the injured and the dead to a private hospital in Akwanga, as doctors at the Akwanga General Hospital had joined nationwide doctors’ strike.
